Appreciation post: the old timer who showed me how to trace a wire fault without a schematic
Tbh I was chasing a weird intermittent on a King Air's nav lights for like two days last week. Then a retired guy from the hangar next door, named Dave, walked over and showed me how to use a tone generator and a basic continuity test to find a chafed wire behind the panel. It hit different because he didn't even look at the manual, just knew where the problem usually hides. Anyone else have a mentor who cuts through the BS like that?
