My car sat in a Kansas City lot for 11 days waiting on one guy with a forklift
Hired a transport company to move my Civic from Denver to Chicago and the driver kept saying he was 2 days out. Turned out the car was stuck at a holding lot off I-70 in Kansas City because they needed a forklift to get it off a top rack and only one guy there runs it. Eleven days of me calling every morning before it finally moved. Has anyone else had a car parked in a yard like that, and did you ever get a straight answer out of the dispatcher?
Eleven days is wild. But honestly, most of those holding yards run on one or two guys doing everything, so a forklift operator being the bottleneck tracks. The dispatcher probably wasn't lying to you either, they just pass along whatever the yard tells them and the yard doesn't know til the guy actually shows up.
