Hot take: I was paying for "door to door" shipping for 2 years before I read the fine print
Booked a car from Denver to Phoenix last month and the driver calls me saying he can only meet at a Walmart lot off I-10, 40 minutes from my place. Turns out "door to door" on the quote just meant a terminal near me, and I'd been paying an extra $75 per booking for that label the whole time. I only caught it because a dispatcher finally spelled out the pickup window versus the actual meet point. Feels dumb in hindsight but the broker site made it look like they'd pull up to my driveway. Anyone got a broker who actually says where the handoff happens before you put the deposit down?
Wow, so the $75 was basically just for the word "door" on a quote? Did the driver ever tell you what the terminal fee covered, or was that a separate charge on top?
