Warranty inspector called my fix a band-aid. He was right
Back in March I patched a cracked radiator tank with epoxy in my 2012 F-150. Held fine for 2 weeks. Then the warranty inspector for my extended plan saw it during a check and said, that's a band-aid, not a repair. He denied my claim for the water pump because he thought I'd cut corners. I pulled the radiator, replaced it with a Denso unit, cost me $340. Got the pump covered after a re-inspection. Took 4 hours of my Saturday but now I check if my patch jobs will pass a second pair of eyes first. Anyone else had a warranty guy flag a temp fix?

Yeah, did they have to pull the whole thing apart just to lecture you on it? Same thing happened with my old Sierra, I used JB Weld on a cracked overflow tank and the adjuster took photos like he was at a crime scene before denying everything.
