TIL a zip tie through the brake pedal spring saves an hour on GM drum jobs

After fighting a rusty adjuster on a 2012 Silverado in Dayton for 45 minutes, I hooked a zip tie around the spring and pulled it sideways, and the whole assembly popped out in 5 seconds flat; has anyone else found a dumb trick like that for rear brakes?
