That moment when a loose ground wire cost me 3 hours at a shop in Phoenix

Last Tuesday I was chasing a no-start on a 2004 Ford F-150 at my buddy's garage off 7th Ave. Checked the starter, battery, and ignition switch, all fine. Turned out it was a loose ground strap from the engine block to the frame, looked like it had been corroding for months. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on a simple ground issue?

Ain't that the truth? Grounds are always the mystery gremlin. My condolences to your wasted afternoon.

Man, that hurts. Spent a whole Saturday on a similar issue with my '05 Silverado. Grounds are always the last thing you check.
