That $60 "lifetime" battery I bought off Facebook Marketplace lasted 11 months
Guy swore it was a year old but it died on me last week in a 7-Eleven parking lot. Had to pay $40 for a jump and another $140 for a proper replacement. Anyone else get burned by those sketchy online battery deals?

Honestly those marketplace battery deals are always a gamble. I got one for my minivan that lasted just under a year too, maybe 10 months. The guy had a whole garage full of them and swore they were "lightly used.

Those "lightly used" batteries are almost always just old ones they pulled from junked cars.
