Spent $260 on a smoke machine, and it paid for itself in one afternoon
I do mostly older cars at my shop near Dayton, and chasing a parasitic drain on a 2003 Silverado was eating my whole day. I finally bought a smoke machine for $260 after putting it off for months, and I found the leaking evap hose in about 20 minutes. That one job covered the cost right there, and I've used it on intake leaks, exhaust leaks, and a sunroof leak since then. Before this I was using a cigar and a shop vac, which worked maybe half the time. What is the one tool you kept putting off buying that turned out to be worth every penny?
