Put off buying a cordless impact for years, finally caved and I feel stupid

I was that guy who swore by pneumatic tools because they never run out of battery. Then my air compressor died last month (the motor seized up on me, real pain). Picked up a Milwaukee M18 at the shop for $350 and honestly, after using it for a week on brake jobs and suspension work, I don't think I'm going back. Has anyone else found that one cordless tool that made them ditch their air setup completely?

Wait, you spent $350 on a single impact? I mean, maybe it's just me but my old air ratchet and impact cost me maybe $100 total at Harbor Freight and they've lasted ten years. I'd rather buy a new compressor for $150 than drop that much on one tool that could die when the battery goes bad in a few years. Plus I've seen guys at the shop struggle with their cordless impacts dying halfway through a job, then they're stuck waiting for a battery to charge while I'm still going with my air setup. Idk, maybe I'm just cheap but I don't see how spending triple the money for the same job makes sense.

Air tools just keep going while cordless stuff makes you plan your whole day around charging schedules lol.
