Old timer told me to skip the torque wrench on lugnuts this one time
Tbh my uncle swore by snugging lugnuts with a breaker bar and never using a torque wrench, said he's done it for 30 years without a single wheel coming off. I tried it on my F-150 last month and warped two rotors on the highway by mile 12. Has anyone else had a shop veteran give advice that felt wrong but you tried it anyway and paid for it?
