I finally compared a reman alternator to a junkyard pull and the difference was huge

Last month my 2005 Silverado ate its alternator on I-75 near Atlanta. I grabbed a reman from AutoZone for $140 and a used one from Pull-A-Part for $25. The reman lasted exactly 6 days before the voltage regulator fried. The junkyard pull has been running strong for 3 weeks now. Am I just lucky or do the rebuilt ones get worse QC these days?

Blame the bean counters for using cheaper parts in remans now.

Wait, 6 DAYS on a $140 reman from AutoZone? @taylor.jessica is right, that's INSANE.
