I compared OE shocks to those cheap Monroes on my F-150 last month

The Monroes gave me a bouncy ride after 200 miles while the OE set still felt solid at 60,000 miles - has anyone else found the extra hundred bucks per corner worth it?

Read somewhere that Monroe specifically tunes their cheap shocks for a softer initial ride to feel smooth on smooth roads. Problem is the valving can't handle heat buildup from actual driving. A buddy of mine put them on his Silverado and they were wallowing in the corners after three months. Meanwhile my Ranchos are still holding up fine at 40k. Sounds like you got the same story.

Well, did the bouncy ride settle down after a few hundred more miles or stay rough the whole time?
