Hit 10,000 miles on a single brake job and it surprised me
I put a set of ceramic pads on a 2018 Ford Escape two years ago and just checked the rotors again. They measured at 11.2mm with almost no lip, which is way better than I expected. I usually see warping around 8,000 miles on cheaper pads especially with city driving. This was just a standard Raybestos set nothing fancy. Did I just get lucky or do ceramics really last that long now? Anyone else seen rotors hold up past 10k?

Wait, aren't rotors usually measured in millimeters for minimum thickness, not 11.2mm sounding like a good reading?

You're right that they're in mm, but 11.2mm is actually pretty thick for most cars (they usually start around 24mm new).
