Had a shop foreman in Detroit grill me about my torque sequence on a head gasket job
He said I was just going in a circle instead of following the factory pattern, and sure enough he caught a 15 ft-lb difference on the third pass. How do you other guys remember the exact sequence without looking it up every time?

My neighbor's old Jeep was the same way, took me three tries before I gave up and just wrote the pattern on my arm with a sharpie. @river182 I feel you on the torque wrench nerves, I still double check everything twice cause one time I stripped a bolt on a transmission pan and it was a whole thing.
