A customer's dad called me out on my brake fluid routine

I was flushing fluid on a 2015 Civic and the guy's father asked why I wasn't bleeding the ABS module separately. Told me I was just swapping old dirty fluid for new dirty fluid from the lines. Tried it his way with a cheap scan tool and the pedal feel was way better. Has anyone else been skipping the module bleed on these newer cars?

Are you seriously telling me you've been skipping the abs bleed this whole time?

Yeah I was skipping the abs bleed for way longer than I want to admit. Once I actually started doing it my brake pedal got way firmer and I couldn't believe I was that lazy before. It's one of those small steps that makes a big difference in the long run.
