Tried using a heat gun on bumper paint after my brother dared me to
I had this gnarly paint peel on my 2012 Civic's front bumper and instead of sanding it down like normal, I zapped it with a heat gun on low and the old paint popped right off in one sheet. Has anyone else found a weird shortcut like that for plastic bumper repairs?

Sounds like a lot of effort for a bumper that'll just peel again later anyway.

Wait, the $200 one they just released? The one with the ceramic coating that's supposed to last 5 years? I saw the warranty paperwork and it specifically says no peeling for the first 3 years if you install it right. @nora10 did you actually see someone's fail or is this just based on the old ones? My buddy has one from the Kickstarter batch and after 2 years of Midwest winters it's still solid, no peeling at all. I'm not defending the brand but the new formula is completely different from what they had in 2021.
