Still choosing epoxy primer over urethane after 12 years

My shop switched to Sherwin-Williams urethane in 2023 and I gave it 6 months before going back to PPG epoxy. Anyone else find epoxy holds up better against rock chips on heavy truck repairs?

Yo, have you tried the PPG Shopline epoxy? I swear by it for heavy truck repairs. I did a fleet of dump trucks back in 2021 and the epoxy still looks solid, no peeling or anything. Urethane just chips way too easy on the front bumpers and fenders around here with all the gravel. I gave it a shot once on a trailer and regretted it within a month. Stick with what works, right?

Are you brushing the urethane on thin or are you laying it down heavy?
