Yeah, that quiet focus vera501 mentioned is real, but my brain treats it like a blank check to wander off. I'll start a simple fix and end up mentally rewriting an argument I had five years ago. The project just sits there while I'm having a full conversation with myself in my head. It feels productive, but really I'm just avoiding the work.

lol @vera501, you're hitting on something there. My "quiet focus" is usually just me zoning out while holding a screwdriver. Pretty sure I've spent more time reminiscing than actually fixing anything. It's like my brain uses repair time as a free pass to replay every cringe memory from high school. So yeah, memory time wins, hands down, and the thing stays broken.
