PSA: That primer over bare filler is making your repairs look cloudy in 3 weeks
I keep seeing guys at my shop in Fresno spray etch primer right on top of fresh body filler, and every single one of those jobs comes back with a chalky haze after about 3 weeks. The primer soaks into the filler and traps solvents that bleed through the topcoat once the sun hits it, which is why I now wait a full day and hit it with a sealer first. Anyone else run into this or is it just the brand of filler we get from our supplier?
