Noticed a rise in cheese-themed car wraps around town.
Last month, a minivan rolled in covered in a giant slice of swiss cheese vinyl. The owner said it was for his dairy business, but all I could think about was grilled cheese. We had to be extra careful not to scratch the 'holes' during the repair. In my experience, these novelty jobs take more time but are always a laugh. Your mileage may vary if you're trying to focus on sanding with a rumbling stomach.

Watched a bright orange truck last week that was done up like a giant block of cheddar. My stomach started growling just looking at it, and I nearly backed my cart into a lamppost. I guess when you daydream about cheese crackers instead of the road, it's time for lunch. The funniest part was later realizing it was probably supposed to be Gouda, not cheddar. I'm not a smart man when I'm hungry.

A cheese maker in Holland uses bright orange trucks for their Gouda deliveries. It makes their trucks stand out (and apparently, it works too well if it causes accidents). Once you're hungry, every orange shape turns into a snack.

But is it really fair to blame the trucks for accidents? People zone out while driving for lots of reasons, not just a hungry thought about cheese. Those orange trucks are just doing what ads are supposed to do, which is get your attention. If a driver hits something because they're thinking about food, that's a personal focus issue. High visibility colors are often used to improve safety on the road, so they might actually help prevent crashes. The real issue is drivers not paying attention, not a company using smart branding.
