Got schooled on panel adhesive, my dent puller is now just a doorstop
I've always been a welder first, you know, the old school way. Last month a 2018 Silverado side panel came in and I was about to fire up the MIG when the shop owner, Greg, stopped me. He pointed out that a quarter panel replacement on that body style is way faster with the structural adhesive, like 2 hours saved easy, and it won't warp the metal like heat can. I fought him on it for a solid 20 minutes, but he bet me $50 a clean pull with zero filler would beat my weld job. I lost that bet, cleanest repair I've seen in 15 years, no shrinking needed. Has anyone else switched over fully, or am I the last holdout still keeping a welder around for everything?
