Warning: Don't let your sled sit on cheap pads for a season

I left my 2018 Ski-Doo on those basic rubber pads all winter in my garage in Duluth and the rubber actually stained my track. Took me an hour with a pressure washer and degreaser to get it off. Anyone else have this happen or am I just unlucky?

Wait, you used a pressure washer on your sled track?

I think you’re a bit off base here, wyatt_green. Pressure washers can actually do a lot more damage than people realize, especially on a sled track. The high pressure can peel up the surface material or even gouge the base if you're not careful. @dixon.willow probably had a good reason to ask about it, because rubber marks are one thing, but ruining the glide surface is another. A little elbow grease with a soft brush and some mild soap usually works better and doesn’t risk ruining the track.

Oh come on, you pressure washed it for an hour and it came off, so what's the big deal? Rubber pads leave marks sometimes, but that's what a little elbow grease is for. Sounds more like a minor inconvenience than a real problem.
