Tried towing my snowmobile with a ratchet strap last Saturday and the $12 come along from Harbor Freight saved the day
So my trailer lights went out right before a trip up to Brainerd last Saturday, and I was in a rush. I hooked my sled down with two old ratchet straps I had in the truck bed, figuring it was only a 40 minute drive. Halfway there one strap slipped loose on a bump near Garrison and the sled started sliding sideways on the trailer. Pulled over and used a $12 come along a buddy lent me, cranked it down tight, and it did not move an inch the rest of the way. Anyone else had a strap let go on them, and what do you keep in your truck now for backup?
