Towing 4,000 lbs with a utility atv, was I setting it up wrong this whole time?
I used to argue with my buddy Mike from Bangor that you only needed the rear tow hitch on a utility ATV, like my old 570. Then he had me watch him hook up his trailer to the front receiver on his machine to back it into a tight spot on his hunting land, and it blew my mind. He said, "you're not driving a truck, you're maneuvering a mule," and that honestly hit different after 5 years of fighting with mine. Has anyone else tried front towing for precision work, or is that just a northern Maine thing?

Ever tried backing a loaded trailer through two inches of mud with just the rear hitch? I snapped a ball mount clean off doing that on my cousin's property, spent an hour digging the trailer out with a come-along. Front receiver never even crossed my mind until I saw a guy at a swap meet using one to push a snowplow sideways, looked like magic.
