Took the old Arctic Cat out on a frozen lake near Bemidji last weekend

That machine is a 1996 model, and I figured it'd bog down on the fresh snow. But man, that thing just ripped across the ice like it was brand new. I hit a patch of slush around noon and nearly got stuck, had to gun it and pray. Guess I learned that old iron still has some fight left in it, just gotta know where the thin spots are. Any of you folks still running those mid-90s sleds?

You still running those mid-90s sleds? I've got a 94 Polaris up in my buddy's barn that I swear runs better when it's 20 below than when it's warm out. Took it out on Mille Lacs last winter and the damn thing decided to die right in the middle of the lake, had to push it a quarter mile while my buddies laughed at me. Thought I was going to have a heart attack right there on the ice. But when I finally got it started again, it ran like a dream all evening. Guess these old girls just like to keep us humble.

Doesn't that just sum up how life works though? The stuff that's supposed to be reliable always seems to act up at the worst possible moment, but then pulls through when you least expect it.
