Took a friend's advice to stop wrenching on a hot engine. Cost me less parts.
Was always in a hurry to get my mods done. Buddy Mike at the local shop told me I was warping gaskets and stripping bolts by working on a motor that just got shut off. Said take a break, let it cool an hour. I laughed. First time I tried it on a belt swap my hands didn't burn and the bolt came off like butter. Anyone else get told a simple timing tip that saved them money?

Right, because apparently patience is a magic tool and not just me being lazy. Mike is a hero for telling you that before you turned a simple belt swap into a machine shop visit. Nice to know all those burned fingertips were just tuition for the class of "don't be a moron.
