TIL a frozen fuel line at -22 in Bemidji taught me more about my sled than 3 seasons of riding
Went up to Lake Bemidji last January for a long weekend with two buddies. First morning it was -22 and my 2016 Renegade fired up fine, idled for 10 minutes while we geared up, then died 200 yards from the cabin.
Spent 2 hours in that cold pulling the sled apart on the lake. Turned out there was a slug of water in the fuel line that froze overnight. Buddy had a bottle of Heet in his truck, poured it in, waited 20 minutes, fired right up. Rode 60 miles that day, best riding of my life, fresh powder and no one else out.
Now I dump a can of that in every fall before the first freeze. Never had the problem again. Weird how one terrible morning turned into the trip I still talk about.
Any of you run into the water in the tank thing? Do you use the red bottle or the yellow one?
