That $600 snowmobile lift was a complete waste.
Bought it last winter from a local shop in Duluth. Thought it would make track work easier. Thing wobbled like crazy once I got the sled up. Had to brace it with cinder blocks just to feel safe. Anyone else ditch those expensive lifts for a simple jack stand setup?

Wait did you actually try leveling the pad you set it on or was the lift itself just built crappy from day one?

Might be missing something obvious, but I wonder if those lifts are designed for a specific brand of sled and the geometry just doesn't match yours. I've seen local shops stock the same lift for years without checking if newer track frames play nice with it. Not saying the thing isn't junk, just that sometimes the mismatch is on the manufacturer's side.
