Spent $150 on a heated visor insert that fogged up worse than my old one
Bought that Universal Heat-Tek visor off Amazon thinking it'd solve my fogging issues on cold morning rides. First trip out near Silver Lake it fogged so bad I had to ride with it cracked open. Anyone else had better luck with a different brand or should I just go back to the old anti-fog wipe trick?

Check your bike's voltage first - low power from the battery can make them useless.

Man, that stinks. I dropped almost the same cash on a different brand last winter and had the exact same problem, felt like I was riding through a sauna with my goggles on. Ended up cracking it open too, which kinda defeats the whole purpose of a heated visor. My buddy swears by the cheap spray-on anti-fog stuff from the drugstore, says it works better than anything fancy he's tried. Maybe those expensive heated inserts are just a gimmick for most of us, or maybe we both got unlucky with bad batches. I'm back to wiping mine down with a microfiber cloth and a dab of dish soap before I head out, and honestly it's been way less hassle.
