Pro tip: Track system vs tires in deep powder
I ran my Polaris with tracks up near Hayward last winter and it beat my buddy's wheel setup by a mile in 3 feet of fresh snow. Has anyone else swapped to tracks and noticed they climb way better?

Tracks in 3 feet of snow is where they really shine. I noticed something similar when I switched my Polaris to a track system last winter up near Ironwood. The deeper the snow, the more the track just floats vs a tire that digs down and bogs. It's like the difference between walking on a packed trail in winter boots versus trying to run in sneakers after a blizzard. Everything in life works better when you match the tool to the conditions, not just the trend.

Honestly, the "matching the tool to the conditions not the trend" part got me thinking. I've seen guys throw tracks on just because it looks tough, but they don't think about the terrain below the snow. Like up near the Rockies, you get deep powder over a layer of icy crust. Tracks actually suck there because they can't bite into the ice underneath, so you slide sideways on slopes. Meanwhile a tire with proper studs will cut through and grab the hardpack. Tracks are killer for pure fluff, but they're not a cure all for every snow situation.
