Just realized I was tightening my track wrong this whole time
Been riding a 2016 Ski-Doo for 4 seasons and always tightened the track to what felt snug. Last month my dealer in Grand Rapids said it should sag about an inch when you lift the back, checked it and mine was way too tight. Has anyone else been over-tightening and noticed weird handling or extra wear?

totally been there, man. i ran my old Polaris way too tight for like two seasons and it was eating sliders like crazy plus the ski pressure felt all off. finally had a buddy who races tell me the same thing about the inch of sag and honestly it was a night and day difference after i loosened it. the weird part is how much smoother the ride got over the rough trails, i thought tight meant less bounce but it was actually worse. you might also check your idler wheels while you're at it, i found one was starting to flat spot from the extra tension. anyway, glad you caught it before you burned through a track, that's a pricey fix.
