A guy in a trail lot in Duluth changed how I pack for ice fishing trips

He watched me strap my gear down for ten minutes, then handed me one of those orange ratchet straps and said 'you're gonna lose that cooler before the first lake,' and after 40 miles of rough trail I got to the cabin with everything still locked in place, so now I always bring two extras, has anyone else had a random stranger save their ride?
