TIL stacking filters can ruin your moon photos
A guy on a forum told me my lunar shots looked 'muddy' and I got all defensive. Turns out stacking my UV and polarizing filters was causing a weird haze. Has anyone else run into this issue with multiple filters blocking detail?

Honestly learned this the hard way too. Moon looked like a smudge.

Oh man, that's rough. @webb.val I heard somewhere that moon pictures can be tricky because the camera's auto focus gets confused by the brightness against a dark sky. Definitely been there with the smudge look.
