Spent 3 hours trying to stack nebula shots and forgot to calibrate the darks
I was out last month near Lake Tahoe trying to get the Orion Nebula with my old Canon... got home and spent a whole evening stacking 160 frames in DeepSkyStacker and ended up with noise streaks everywhere. Turns out I forgot to shoot my dark frames before packing up at 2am. Has anyone else wasted a night of imaging on a simple calibration mistake?

Ah man, that's brutal. I've definitely done the same thing with my flat frames before, it's such a sinking feeling when you realize in post.

Jump right in and pour one out for all the photos we accidentally turned into blurred messes @willow732. At least we're keeping the memory card companies in business, right?
