Shot 8 months of stars and just now learned my lens hood was blocking half the frame
I kept cropping my wide field shots and blaming light pollution, then a guy at a club meetup in Reno pointed at my lens hood edge. Turns out I had it rotated one click off since last October and it was clipping the corner every single time. Anyone know a good way to check framing before a whole night out there?
