Bought a cheap telescope and some guy on here told me my moon photos were all wrong

I got one of those $80 scopes off Amazon a few months back, just to see what all the fuss was about. First clear night I took a photo of the moon with my phone held up to the eyepiece, thought it looked pretty great. Posted it in this very community and this guy named Darren just laid into me about my focus being soft and the colors looking washed out. He told me to stop using digital zoom and actually learn the manual settings on my camera app. I was annoyed at first but I tried it, turned the ISO down to like 100 and played with the exposure. Huge difference. Now I can actually see craters and details instead of just a bright white blur. Anybody else get roasted in the comments and actually learn something from it?

Got roasted so bad I thought I was looking at the moon's surface instead of my self-esteem.

Feel that, man. Nothing like getting dunked on to make you actually pay attention and improve. Glad you stuck with it though, those clearer shots are so worth the sting.
