Was sure my old router was fine until my roommate hooked up his gaming PC
I've been using the same Netgear router from 2017 for years and thought it still worked great. But then my roommate moved in last month with his gaming rig and my Netflix started buffering at 8pm every night. Anyone else get humbled by someone else's tech actually showing what your stuff can't handle?

That 2017 router is probably only rated for like 15 devices max and your roommate's gaming PC is just pushing it past its limit in the evenings. It's wild how much we normalize laggy tech until someone actually tests it.

Swap it out for a wired connection, that fixes the issue instantly.
