The difference 6 months of daily sketching made on my drawing skills

I started doing 15 minute sketches every morning back in February, and I just compared my first one to one from last week. The line quality and proportions are way better now even though I felt like I was making no progress. Has anyone else stuck with a daily habit and seen a big shift like this?

Honestly, are you sure it's not just a coincidence or you picking better references? I feel like people hype up "daily grinding" skills a lot online but half the time it's just natural improvement from getting older or your eye getting used to spotting mistakes faster. Tbh 15 minutes is barely enough time to warm up, let alone actually build muscle memory that sticks. I've seen people do years of daily practice and still draw the same wonky hands and faces, so maybe it's more about how you practice versus just doing it. Ngl it sounds like a good story for clout but progress ain't always that linear.

True... but 15 mins daily adds up weirdly fast.
