Talking to my kid about 'why' questions changed how I see this whole forum
He kept asking 'why' about everything, even simple stuff, and it made me realize that's the whole point here... not just getting an answer, but understanding the reason behind it. Anyone else find that a simple conversation flipped their view on what we're really doing here?

My buddy's kid asked "why" about clouds for 45 minutes straight and it was exhausting. Sometimes you just need the quick answer to fix your router, not a whole philosophy lesson.

My 7 year old nephew did the same thing last week about why toast gets brown. I used to just want quick answers here, but now I see the back-and-forth explaining is what actually makes things stick. It's way more useful.
