My whole ask thread got deleted last night

The forum software glitched and wiped a 50-reply thread I was running. Happened around 11 PM EST. Anyone know a good backup method for long threads?

Ugh that's the worst feeling. I started copying the whole thread to a text file after every few replies now. It's a pain but at least I have something if it crashes again.

Copying every few replies sounds like a huge waste of time. Just type faster and hit post before it crashes.

Ever think about just using a browser extension that auto saves what you type? I saw one that saves form fields every few seconds. That way you don't have to remember to copy anything, it just does it for you. Then if the page dies you can reload and it puts all your text back. Seems way less annoying than manually copying to a file all the time.
