My old flip phone habit vs. my current smartphone setup
Back in 2012 I carried a basic flip phone and only checked calls or texts twice a day. Now I have a smartphone with app timers set to 15 minutes per social app, and I still find myself reaching for it during dinner. The shift happened last year when I missed my daughter's school play because I was scrolling through news alerts. I moved to grayscale mode and put the charger in the kitchen, which cut my screen time from 6 hours to about 2. Has anyone else tried turning off color to break the habit, or did you find a different trick that worked better?
