My coffee machine started pouring cold brews after I ignored a simple cleaning step for 6 months
I bought a De'Longhi espresso machine last January and used it almost daily without ever running the descaling cycle. Around June, the water flow got slow and the shots came out lukewarm, like barely 110 degrees instead of the usual 195. I figured it was a heating element failure and almost dropped $150 on a repair quote. Then a barista at a local shop in Austin told me to just run a vinegar solution through it three times. It fixed the temperature and flow completely in about 20 minutes. Has anyone else had a kitchen gadget act broken when it just needed basic maintenance?

Bro, my buddy ignored his air fryer for a year and it started smoking until he washed the basket!

Haha oh man, this is 100% me with my drip coffee maker last year! I was about to toss it and buy a new one because the brew was getting cold and weak, then a friend told me to just clean the carafe and the heating plate. Idk why I never thought of that, but it worked like a charm and saved me $40 on a replacement.
