My barber in Chicago gave me life advice during a buzz cut

Last Tuesday I sat down for a quick trim and he just said "you look like you're carrying something heavy, put it down for 20 minutes." He spent the whole cut asking about my job and actually listened, not the usual small talk. Has anyone else had a stranger pin down exactly what you needed to hear at the right moment?
