How far is your commute? For real though, yes it helps. Every car that stays parked is less exhaust in the air.

My daily drive is 12 miles on Interstate 5. While parking cars helps, traffic congestion from trucks and buses still pollutes heavily. In my area, electric vehicles are rare, so most exhaust comes from old engines. Real change needs cleaner fuels and more transit options.

Switched to biking my 5-mile commute last spring. My car's gas use dropped by almost a full tank each month. It adds up when a bunch of people do it, even if trucks are still on the road.
