I dropped $200 on a fancy air fryer and now I'm kinda regretting it
I bought this big name air fryer about three months ago thinking it would change my life. So far it's just taking up counter space and I've used it maybe five times. The fries come out okay but nothing beats a real oven for texture. For $200 I could have gotten a solid toaster oven that does way more. Has anyone else bought a kitchen gadget that sounded great but turned out to be a waste? I'm thinking of just selling it on Facebook.

My Ninja air fryer was $150 and I barely touch it either, the texture on everything is just off compared to a real oven. The real trick I found is you can't cram it full or the air doesn't circulate right, so you're cooking in tiny batches. Maybe try smaller loads before you give up on it, but honestly a $50 toaster oven might serve you better for everyday stuff.

Yeah the tiny batch thing is real. My buddy Mike bought one of those expensive air fryers and he said the only thing he actually uses it for is reheating pizza because the texture on everything else just feels wrong.
