Hot take: meal prep saved me money but wrecked my grocery habits
I tried meal prepping every Sunday for 6 weeks straight back in March. On one hand, I saved about $80 a month on takeout and stopped wasting produce. But on the other hand, I got so rigid with recipes that I stopped cooking on impulse and actually ate less fresh food. My fridge became a science experiment of tupperware containers I dreaded opening. Did anyone else find meal prep helped with money but made eating feel like a chore? Or is it just me who can't stick to a system without going overboard?

So you basically just invented sad, expensive leftovers.

No one is forcing you to buy it. @felixw99, what did you actually eat last night that was so amazing? Because half the stuff people rave about on here is just reheated cafeteria food with a fancy name.
