Had a talk with a plumber at Lowe's that flipped my view on copper vs PEX

I was standing in the plumbing aisle at Lowe's last Saturday grabbing fittings for a bathroom reno when this old plumber walked by and said 'PEX is fine until a mouse chews through it at 3 in the morning.' He showed me a photo on his phone of a waterlogged ceiling. I grabbed copper instead. Anyone else get convinced by a random stranger in a hardware store?

dude I feel you. I had a buddy whose whole basement flooded from a mouse chew on PEX and it was a nightmare. copper just feels solid, no regrets lol.
