Appreciation post: the guy at the hardware store who stopped me from buying the wrong drill bit
I was at Ace Hardware in Salem last Thursday trying to pick a bit for a concrete anchor in my basement wall. This older employee walked over and asked what I was drilling into, then grabbed a different bit off the rack. He said, "You want the one with the carbide tip, not the cheap one, trust me." That little bit of advice saved me a trip back and a lot of swearing under my house. Anyone else got a random tip from a store worker that actually stuck with you?
