Appreciation post: I hit 500 questions answered on here and it feels weird

I was just looking at my profile stats and saw the number. It's not like I was trying to get there, I just kept popping in when I had a minute. It matters because it made me realize how much random stuff I've learned from you all, like that trick for fixing a sticky garage door sensor from a user in Phoenix. Anyone else get surprised by a number they didn't expect to hit?

Congrats on the 500, that's a serious chunk of time spent solving other people's problems. I hit 300 comments once and my browser history was just a long list of "how to reset a router" and "why is my cat doing that." The real surprise is when you check your own post count and realize you've become the free tech support guy from that one thing you fixed three years ago.

That garage door trick from the Phoenix user actually saved me a repair call back in July. I hit 800 answers last week and it snuck up on me too, I just check in when I'm waiting for coffee to brew. Numbers like that don't feel real until you scroll back through your old replies and see the same questions over and over again. You start to notice patterns, like how everyone asks about Wi-Fi extenders at 10 PM on a Tuesday. It's more about the community than the count honestly, those random tips stick with you longer than the milestones.
