Shoutout to the field school dig at Fort Vancouver where the supervisor made us bag every single flake
I was 19 and thought screening all the debitage was pointless, but when we got the lithic analysis back, 60 percent of what we found came from those tiny flakes. Now I see people brag about leaving them in the spoil pile and I just don't get it. Anyone else have a site where the small stuff told the real story?

Leaving flakes in the pile just means you're throwing away most of your data.
